Meet Demetra S. Manns-Marsh

Rev. Demetra S. Manns-Marsh is a member at Thompson Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church located in Mineral Springs, NC, where she holds several roles, including Minister of Music for both the church and the Wadesboro Monroe District, as well as the President of the Women's Home and Overseas Missionary Society. 

In addition, she serves as the Executive Director of Amongst Friends, a nonprofit organization that provides Home and Community Based services in the Charlotte Metropolitan Area, focusing on support for individuals with disabilities. Before establishing Amongst Friends, she gained experience working with various agencies that assist both youth and adults facing intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as mental health issues.

A native of Bassett, VA, Rev. Marsh received her education through the Henry County School System. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, with a minor in Criminal Justice, from Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC. Furthermore, she has completed the CMS Teaching Residency EC Adapted Curriculum Program and is an active member of Women's Philanthropy and Network Charlotte.

Rev. Marsh is married and has two children. In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling,  crafting, reading, and spending quality moments with her family.
